The Earth Observation Laboratory (EOL) at York University studies, evaluates, and develops advanced remote sensing solutions to better understand the environments around us. Our research focuses on combining satellite, airborne, and ground-based imagery with advanced data analysis, geographic information systems (GIS), and artificial intelligence to help convert complex data into meaningful and actionable information.
Our research projects support a wide range of applications including ecosystem monitoring, forestry, agriculture, climate change, and natural resource management. Through collaboration, innovation, and hands-on training, the laboratory works to address real world challenges and advance the use of remote sensing technologies for a more informed and sustainable future.
